I'm thinking about asking My girlfriend to Marry me. Problem is, i don't have bunches of money. Can anyone recomend places to look for affordable engagement rings? She likes white gold and the classic (antique) look. Online places are good. Also, I live in Indiana and travel to ohio alot, so places there would be great as well. (bloomington/indianapolis in In and Dayton, in OH)

surprisingly you can find some pretty rings at walmart. serch for new wedding stuff on ebay.

  2. Silver Belt Buckle

You can look anywhere from department stores, to local jewellery stores, to the chain jewellery stores. Figure out your budget first, and just choose something you think she might like.
    Good luck to you!

  3. Mens Gold Chain

Check out flea markets and antique shops

pawn shops, ebay……………………u can get rings there for less than 20 bucks but pay attention to the descriptions so u can be assured u have real gold. best wishes and congrats.

eBay, WalMart, Shane’s (jewelry store – louisville KY), The Castle (jewelry and pawn stores – Lexington KY) or maybe the Turtle Creek Flea Market outside of Cincinatti (I-75 N between Cincy and Dayton – but close to Cincy).

    Good luck! :)

I am not being a smart a$$. Look on e-bay. There are very good deals on real rings there from people who have broken up as well as dealers.

By the way, are you sure she is going to say yes? (now I’m being a smart a$$)

    Here are some ideas:

    1) Flea markets. I have been to plenty (of nice ones) with gorgeous antique jewerly.
    2) Antique malls…. same reason as above
    3) Talk to your or her Mom. There may be a family heirloom that you could give her.
    4) You could also melt down a ring that you all/someone in the family already has. I know I really want my b/f to give me my Grandmother’s ring…. that I already have….. but have it done this way so I can also get a solitare in there.

I actually picked out my wedding ring set with my husband…I picked one out for $400 at wal-mart…It came with both rings & the are gorgeous. I can’t stand the phrase “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend”…It’s not always the case. There are so many people out there that can live without a bunch of diamonds. Think practicality…Don’t go overboard with a huge rock.
Btw: I get a lot of compliments on my rings & people gasp when I say I got it from walmart & that it’s 1/2 ct….Honey it’s not how big or expensive the diamonds are, it’s the love behind the diamonds.
I highly recommend getting a set from walmart…Keepsakes brand. They are all gorgeous.
Congratulations on the upcoming proposal.I am sure if she loves you, she will love any ring you give her. God bless you two on your life together.

i live in pittsburgh pa and my fiance and i picked my engagement ring out at a little shop called marlene harris. she just has antique and estate jewelry. she has some very moderately priced engagement rings that are antiques. the diamonds may be a bit on the smaller side but the rings are all unique with filligree and etchings on the side. i think she also sells things via the internet. i will attach the website link for you. you could email me with any questions you may have.

Walmart and Kmart are good places to look, you can get a nice bridal set for 188 at walmart, and I saw wedding bands at Kmart for like $25 each.

  11. Handmade Rings

my hubby and i got everything we needed off ebay. very cheap and new. both of our rings together cost $250.

  12. Video Games

My fiance and I picked out my rings at Sears. A friend of his worked security and called my fiance to tell him they were having a jewelry sale, so we went up there and I found a gorgeous ring that was 80% off. It ended up only costing us $400 for both the engagement ring and the wedding ring. I recommend checking out local department stores jewelry departments. Everyone who has seen my ring wonder how he could afford it and they all said it looks just like an antique.
