What jewelery are you wearing right now?

Bowhunting
You can…they may have to redo the prongs for a different cut stone, but you can do it.
Vintage Classic Cars
I’d upgrade to a full carat on your 1 year wedding anniversary.
Men’s Gold Bracelets
Sure you can!
Dog Supplies
yes you can upgrade the stone with the same ring, the gemologist will change the head to accompany the new stone.
Sterling Silver Boxes
Sure you can upgrade, but it pretty rude. Your soon to be husband pick this ring out and now you want something different. I am sure he put a lot of thought and effort into it. You should stick with the original ring. Tell him what you want for a wedding band.
Mens Gold Chain
Depends on the band- it might be fine with a normal 4 prong. My band had a round, square, oval (my shape) in the same style band. emerald is little tricky because emerald 1/2 carat is going to be extremely small compared to 1/2 round and it’s such a different shape.
Check out this chart- it’s gives you a good idea what 1/2 carat looks like in each shape.
I have an oval and I love it and it looks huge in a little over a carat due to it’s shape.
Camping Gear
Yes, they will need to make adjustments though. It may take some time so do it while you don’t need the ring (for engagement pictures, engagement party, etc.).
Camping Gear
Well i guess it would depend. It isn’t a problem to change the stone, the jewlery store that you take it to can do that, and like acouple of the others, they may have to change prongs or the setting so it will fit good and look right. my question is, are you already married? and if so for how long, if you are doing this just to get something better, that is rude, like the one other person said, your soon to be husband/husband picked that out because he felt you would really love it. However if your husband knows and is all for it, then go for it. Just remember that if your husband doesn’t know, he will find out… no man is that oblivious.
Handmade Rings
You probably could, but if you do, you’ll be showing your fiancee that you are marterialistic, and care for the ring more than you do him, so you may end up not getting married and finding yourself once again available.
Tungsten Rings
yes, it depends on the jewerly store on how much it will cost. but the origional store where you got the ring will offer the best price on an upgrade.
Bowhunting
Of course you can always upgrade. They may need to make modifications to the setting in order to accommodate the different cut.
With that said, my husband got me a brilliant cut when he proposed. I really wanted a marquis stone at the time. However, in the last six years, I’ve truly fallen in love with the brilliant cut. It sparkles and gives off fire so much more than any other cut.
Why don’t you live with it for a year or two before making up your mind? I asked my husband about his thoughts and he said he believes it’s rude to make changes to a gift. This is between you and your future hubby.
Vintage Classic Cars
I don’t know the reason for your question, but want to mention one thing. If your fiance or husband wants to upgrade the stone, it will work. However, if you have an engagement ring that you aren’t pleased with, please consider something. I’m sure your fiance did the very best he could when he bought the ring. To him it’s a symbol of his love for you. Maybe it would be nice if he had more money, but he probably doesn’t. IF you take it upon yourself to upgrade the diamond, then are you saying that his money is not good enough for you? It’s worth consideration.
When my husband bought my engagement ring, it was a stretch to afford it. The diamond is beautiful, but small compared to what we could afford today. He’s offered to upgrade it, or to put a larger diamond in the ring. However, we’re not done it because the ring I have has so much meaning to me. It’s the original one he gave me and I really treasure it more than any other piece of jewelry I own. It’s not the size, but what it symbolizes.
BTW, best wishes on a long and happy marriage!
Handmade Rings
Yes, it can be done by a good jeweller – however, I just would never do this, regardless of the circumstances the ring your fiance chose for your engagement is precious and special. If you want more bling, buy yourself another dress ring.
Men’s Gold Bracelets
Yes you can check these stores where you can see what diamond shapes a ring can fit.
