if you mean spiritual cleansing then i would recommend you don’t use sea salt but kosher salt instead. if you don’t want it to corrode than you need to put the ring in the salt, say the blessing. if you think you must use the salt water than i would recommend you only put it it for a very short time, rinse it off vigorously. use soap and water if possible. but i have always found that emblems any symbols are useless. they can be taken in a battle. your pure will power can not.
