I believe that would be Cyclic Voltammetry.

Cyclic voltammetry (CV) is one of the most frequently used electrochemical methods because of its relative simplicity and its high information content.

Titanium comes in different grades mostly the CP grades 1 through 4. I would imagine that the CV stands for a different grade. Titanium is combined with metals such as Aluminum, Manganese, Iron, Molybdenum and other metals to manipulate the final outcome of the alloy. The ring is not pure Titanium.
