Ear ring, as a fashion accessory can track back to 19th century, whereby this was worn by male, and this can be seen in the carved images of the soldiers from various parts of the Persian Empire which are displayed on some of the surviving walls of the palace. In fact, there is no particular rule stated that only younger are suitable for earring. However, the unwritten rule of thumb seems to be that the older a man gets, the more discreet the jewelry becomes.
