We are engagement ring shopping for me.
I thought it would be cute to get him a ring too to surprise him when he pops the question.
Is this crazy?
I had it hand made from titanium and on the inside it says "my one and only".
I plan on carrying it with me everywhere in my purse so I can surprise him.
Not sure when he is going to ask me...but it will be soon.
What do you think?
I know he is a bit nervous about this big step in life ( his ex wife cheated on him a number of years ago) and I want him to feel secure and safe with our new direction in life. I thought his engagement ring would be a reminder to him that I am serious and love him.
I planned to give it to him AFTER he proposed to me with the ring we have choosen.
I would NEVER propose to him. No way. I just wanted him to have something special too.
It is not a wedding ring. He will have platinum Tiffany or Cartier band for that. This is just symbolic.
I thought it was a cute idea...not desperate.

I did the same thing! I was in India studying abroad and I knew he was planning on proposing sometime after I got back. I bought him a silver band and had it engraved with ‘Measure Your Life in Love’. So when he proposed, I gave him the ring!
Almost a year later (we’re having like a 22 month engagement), I bought him a new ring, since I learned silver gets scuffed up. This new one was titanium like yours, and has a tension-set sapphire. I had it engraved with the same message.
