I found this white gold ring in a pool and it has a little diamond at the top.
I was looking for a cheap way to clean it before i take it to the pawn shop. does anyone know how much the ring is worth and if its better to take it to a jeweler.

my aunt use to work at a jewelery shop/pawn shop. She told me once that ketchup works good because of the acid….im not too sure though- try it

clean it with lukewarm water, dish washing liquid and a soft/old toothbrush.

We cannot possibly hazard a guess about it’s value, we would need to know the weight of the ring, what carat gold it is, the size and quality of the diamond etc.

Do you know if it’s a diamond? It might just be a cubic zirconia.

The pawn shop won’t give you a lot of money, they want to make money selling the ring on, but they might just be able to test the diamond and weigh your ring.
