Carolyn asked:

I'm recently engaged. I have a beautiful new ring. I don't generally like the look of two rings, even if they are made to match. Can I just use my engagement ring as a wedding band?

Yes. Many people choose to use the same ring as their wedding ring/engagement ring. It really only comes down to personal preference and what makes you and your spouse happy.
